Weekender: Harvest Hustle, Fall Harvest Day and Area Hauntings

Friday and Sunday are the pick "weather days" of this weekend, but don't let that scare you away from the fun events planned Saturday in Algonquin and Lake Hills!

Happy Friday, Algonquin and Lake in the Hills!

There's plenty to see and do this fall weekend. The key maybe working around the weather.

Today, Friday, promises to be another gorgeous fall day. It's expected to be 74 degrees with lots of sunshine.

Saturday is the expected to have a high of 79 degrees with a 60 percent chance for rain. Showers are forecast for the morning and scattered thunderstorms could move in later in the day.

Hopefully, it won't dampen spirits at the Harvest Hustle and Fall Harvest Day in Algonquin on Saturday.

Saturday is also opening day for Haunt 31, the "Haunted House/ Yard" display at Toby Wrolson's house in Lake in the Hills. Hopefully, there will be plenty of haunting, screaming and laughing in between the rain!

Sunday is looking good with a high temperature forecast of 66 degrees and mostly sunny skies. If you are planning on attending the Chicago Marathon on Sunday, read this Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Patch article to learn more about the new security restrictions this year.

Have a great weekend!
