LITH to Host National Night Out Festivities This Week

A community cook out will be held on Saturday while several block parties in neighborhoods throughout the village will be held Tuesday.

The Lake in the Hills Police Department will host National Night Out festivities this week. 

National Night Out is a program designed to get the village's neighborhoods involved in a "stand against crime in their community."

This is a two-day event, which includes a Community Cook Out with many static displays and demonstrations, including a chance to participate in the Fatal Vision Golf Cart Course and a K-9 demonstration. 

There will be block parties throughout the Village, which will be attended by police officers and village officials.

  • Block Parties: Tuesday, August 6th, from 7 to 10 p.m. in various locations
  • Community Cook Out: Saturday, August 10th, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Safety Education Center, 1109 Crystal Lake Road.

The block parties are located throughout the village.
