Huntley Man Leads Police in 2 Hour Chase after Hit-and-Run Accident

Scott Hitchcock, 27, of Huntley, was arrested Sunday and charged with hit-and-run.

Police from several area departments spent more than two hours Sunday evening searching for a Huntley man involved in a hit-and-run accident at Route 47 and Interstate 90 at about 5:30 p.m., the Northwest Herald reports.

Scott Hitchcock, 27, allegedly left the scene and, while fleeing, drove into a tree on nearby Powers Road. Hitchcock was injured, but ran away. Hitchcock eventually was caught at about 8 p.m., and was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident and obstructing a peace officer investigation. A DUI charge is pending, the Northwest Herald reports.
