Lake in the Hills Hosts Worldwide Day of Play on Saturday

Get out and have some fun this Saturday during the "Worldwide Day of Play" at Ken Carpenter Park in Lake in the Hills.




Time to get outside and play.

The Lake in the Hills Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the "Worldwide Day of Play" and the "Punt, Pass and Kick" event this Saturday, Sept. 28.

The annual event, sponsored nationally by Nickelodeon, will be held from 11 a.m. to 1p.m. at Ken Carpenter Park, corner of Miller and Randall roads in Lake in the Hills.

Parks and Rec will provide fun, youth-oriented activities in three categories including: health/fitness, music, and sports/games.

Bring the family out to this is a free event.

After the fun, football enthusiasts are invited to participate in the Punt, Pass, & Kick event beginning at 2 p.m. This is a free event for youth ages 6-15. The event tests both boys and girls in the separate areas of punting, passing, and kicking.

Winners in each category will advance to a sectional competition at a nearby community.
