Basically we’re just your typical couple who loves to search out and create great food. Nothing pretentious, just good food. So we decided to start a food blog based in Chicago. Most of our ‘foodie finds’ are in the Chicagoland area (especially the northwest suburbs), however we also love to travel. So we’ll post about places wherever we go.  We also love to share our recipes, from family and everyday recipes to new creations we come up with.  We hope you enjoy!

<strong>I’m Alisha</strong>, 24 years old living in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. I love all different kinds of foods and if I had to describe myself I&#39;d say I&#39;m a:

Foodie Aficionado- I love food and creating new ideas and trying new things! Although my palate isn’t as advanced or daring as my partner in this food adventure, I will try “most” things!

Sous Chef-My love for food was sparked by my husband and that is why I called myself a Sous Chef. I am his right hand woman in the kitchen always helping, asking questions and keeping him on his feet, but overall we have a lot of fun!

Sweets Lover- Did someone say chocolate? Cheesecake? Pie? Candy? Brownies? And any other kind of sweet you can add to that list too! I love sweets so if you ever want to brighten my day bake, buy or send me something sweet! 

<strong>I’m Todd</strong>, the lucky husband of Alisha.  My love for good food began at a young age.  My mother use to watch the “Frugal Gourmet” as well as many other cooking shows and then cook their food for the family.  Sometimes it was amazing, sometimes it was *hahem* interesting (peanut soup to a 8 year old is like a melted pb&amp;j and the peach soup was better frozen into popsicles) but it created a love for interesting and good food within me. She is an amazing cook and is always the one I go to when I have a question about food.

I never shy away from trying anything once and I’m constantly trying to get Alisha to push herself to eat more weird food.  

I love a good hole in the wall restaurant.  The best food can be found at those kind of places.

In the kitchen I constantly tweak recipes.  I never cook a recipe how it’s written (much to my wifes dismay when I mess with the sacred Barbitta family recipes).  I love to go to amazing restaurants and then try to make the dishes at home.  

My favorite types of food are:

Asian (any)

BBQ

Italian

Mexican (authentic)

Indian (the spicier the better)

and anything I’ve never tried
