Steve Nitz, Neighbor

Steve Nitz graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2009 with a B.A. in journalism. While he was at NIU, he worked as a sports reporter for the school's student newspaper, the Northern Star. His senior year, he was a beat writer for the Huskie football team, and got to cover the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, La. Since August of 2009, he has worked as a sports stringer for the Daily Chronicle in DeKalb, where he has covered numerous high school sports as well as NIU athletics. From August 2007-August 2009, Steve worked as a copy assistant for the Rockford Register Star.
