Got up a little testy this morning. Of course, looking at the bigger picture, the Chicago metropolitan area has a lot to crow about regarding open enrollment secondary education. While the price of admission is the ability to move to the district, there are generally affordable ways to get a great education all over the suburbs.

ReplyOr did the patch not bother with schools outside Cook County? Nice job. In fact: Stevenson beat NT. And the schools I mentioned were all there too, with a few additions like Barrington, Fremd and Prospect. Check out Florida, where only a couple open enrollment schools come close to the top 25 in Illinois.

ReplyWhere are all the schools from other counties? Did Cook have the fix in? We all know that Naperville, Hinsdale, Glenbard, Maine, Stevenson, HP, Deefield and Lake Forest are in the same league as the above schools.

Too bad you can't drive on Willow for the next couple of years. My Costco is in Mettawa/Lake Forest, just off Rte. 60 and 294.

Aren't the Kardashians from Kalifornia? That would explain a lot. I'd love to see the Jersey Shore version of prom.

Another example of American infrastructure being behind the rest of the world. Having said that, I'm glad I didn't rush to wire my house for internet, since it's now wireless. If you can afford to wait a bit longer, the technology will surpass what you wanted to spend $70M for. Oh, wait, the technology has already surpassed Wi-Fi. Trains are to get people from one place to another. Let them read a newspaper, or a kindle, or get a freakin' data plan. Especially those >$200K guys from Kenilworth station.
