A Holiday Hills woman early Monday morning bit her boyfriend and then hit him over the head with a hammer, rendering him unconscious, according to McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren. Cali L. Sander, 27, 1206 W. Sunset Dr., was arrested and charged with one count aggravated domestic battery and one count aggravated battery, Nygren said in a press release. At about 5 a.m., sheriff officers responded to the 1200 block of West Sunset Road, Holiday Hills, to a domestic battery report. Upon arriving at the home, sheriff deputies met the male victim who said Sander bit him on the arm and hit him on the head with hard object, Nygren said. Sander was not home when deputies arrived. A Lake in the Hills man accused of threatening his pregnant girlfriend with a knife and punching her in the stomach will spend 180 days in jail, according to the Northwest Herald. The Northwest Herald reports Victor A. Bratz, 40, pleaded guilty to aggravated unlawful restraint and aggravated DUI and was sentenced Wednesday to two years of probation, which will include random urine samplings and drug and alcohol treatment. Police were called to the 2300 block of Wexford Lane on May 15 for the battery report. Bratz, who was intoxicated at the time, fled the home before eventually returning and being taken into custody by Lake in the Hills police, authorities told Patch.

A 38-year-old homeless man faces charges for shoving a Lake in the Hills Police Department officer Monday. James D. Zick was arrested at Berquist Marine Center, 8415 Route 31, around 3:34 p.m., said Sgt. Eric Decker of the LITH Police Department. the LITH Police Department's assistance to arrest Zick for retail theft at Wal-Mart in Crystal Lake. When a LITH Police Department officer attempted to arrest Zick at Berquist Marine, he became resistant, and the officer used pepper spray to contain Zick and Zick proceeded to shove the officer, said Sgt.
