Algonquin Hires New Village Manager
The Algonquin Village Board OK'd an employment agreement for Timothy Schloneger during last night's meeting.
Algonquin will soon have a new village manager. The Algonquin Village Board approved an employment agreement last night to hire Timothy Schloneger, the current city administrator for the city of Lockport, as the new village manager for Algonquin, said Michael Kumbera, Algonquin's assistant to the village manager. His annual salary will be $165,000. Algonquin's current village manager, Bill Ganek, is expected to retire in the coming months. His last day with the village of Algonquin has not yet been determined. During his time in Lockport, Schlonger worked closely with the financial management and economic development operations.
