Algonquin Hair Studio Offers Discount for Food Pantry Donations

Salon owner Janet Rabig is looking to bring in donations for the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry.

Scissor Happy Hair Studio in Algonquin will offer a $5 discount on services for anyone who brings in a donation for the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry in November.  Janet Rabig, owner of Scissor Happy Hair Studio, said she is hoping to help the food pantry, which serves around 300 local families each month, this holiday season, according to a press release.  The Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry has a list of its immediate donation needs on its website. This is not the first time Rabig has used her hair-styling talents to help give back to the community.  After opening Scissor Happy in 2011, Rabig offered free haircuts to those looking for a job to help them "look great for job interviews," according to…
