District’s flat rate will be relief to most homeowners, except those who saw their property values increase, the Northwest Herald reports.
District 158 won’t seek an increase in property taxes for the upcoming fiscal year, the Northwest Herald reports. The district will be able to keep the rate flat after receiving a state construction grant, dating back from 2005, the newspaper reports. Most homeowners will have some relief on their tax bills unless there has been an increase in their property values, the newspaper stated. District officials will also keep school registration fees flat next year, according to the Northwest Herald.
