Islam, 20, 10916 Sawgrass Ln., Huntley, was arrested at 4:36 p.m. Monday, May 13, and charged with possession of 2.5 to 10 grams cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Islam was arrested at Sunset Park, 5200 Miller Rd. He was released on bond. Richard A. Pack, 37, 8813 Route 31 apt. D, Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 10:47 p.m. Monday, May 13, and charged with two counts of domestic battery and one count criminal damage to property. Vangeertry, 25, 531 Leah Ln. 2C, Woodstock, was arrested at 2:30 a.m. Saturday May 4, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use, and failure to notify Secretary of State of an address change. A person filed a complaint at 4:06 p.m. Monday, April 22, that he/ she was biten by a dog in the 500 block of Mason Lane. A car was reported stolen from Trinity Auto Center, 9178 Trinity Dr. The car, parked in the lot, was taken along with a dealer license plate sometime before 1:16 p.m. Sunday, April 21. The report was entered into the LEADS, and turned over to the LITH investigations division. LITH Men Arrested; Accused of Selling Heroin, Crack Cocaine

William Harris, 33, and Michael Thomas, 32, both of 104 Quail Run in Lake in the Hills, have been arrested and charged with a long list of drug-related offenses.

McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren announced today the arrest of two Lake in the Hills men accused of selling heroin and crack cocaine. William Harris, 33, and Michael Thomas, 32, both of 104 Quail Run, were arrested Wednesday by a joint team of law enforcement investigators and police, according to McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren. The sheriff's Narcotics Unit had been conducting an investigation into heroin and crack cocaine sales in the Lake in the Hills area, Nygren said in a press release. On April 24, members of the U.S. Marshal Service Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force and Lake in the Hills Police joined sheriff's investigators in serving search and arrest warrants at Harris and Thomas' 104 Quail Run residence. Police arrest 69-year-old Crystal Lake man in Dec. 29 incident.

  A 69-year-old man, Terrance T. Young, 496 Porter Ave., Crystal Lake man on charges of driving under the combined influence of alcohol and drugs, Lake in the Hills police said. Young was stopped early Saturday morning on west Algonquin Road and also cited for failure to stop at an intersection, improper turn and driving with an expired license, police said. In other reports: Someone broke a window on a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Crystal Lake Road Dec. 29, police said. Police are investigating an identity theft where a victim’s personal information was used to obtain a credit card online, according to reports. Former Lake in the Hills Man Gets 25 Years For Sexual Assault

The Daily Herald reported that former Lake in the Hills resident Robert W. Lucht, 56, was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

A former Lake in the Hills resident has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for sexual assault of a child, the Daily Herald reported. Robert W. Lucht, 56, had been charged with three counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, the newspaper reported. Lucht previously had attempted suicide in October after a jury found him guilty on the charges. As Patch previously reported, Lucht was convicted of sexually assaulting a young girl. The girl, according to a press release from the McHenry County State's Attorney, was admitted to a hospital when she was 11 years old for having suicidal intentions and for harming herself.  The girl then reported she had been sexually assaulted by …

Woodstock Residents Arrested for Firearms, Drug Charges

Joint investigation between McHenry County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit and area police departments uncovers stolen weapons and drugs, police said.

  Two men and one woman from unincorporated Woodstock were arrested on Thursday after sheriff's officers searched their home and uncovered firearms and marijuana, police said. Lee Modesto Cruz, 27, of 9917 McConnell Rd., was charged with three counts unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, two counts unlawful possession of firearm ammunition by a felon, one count possession of certain dogs by a felon, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a press release issued by McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren.  Kevin M. Huntley Man Found with Hammer Outside LITH Home Faces New Charges in Huntley

Huntley police file charges against a man arrested in Lake in the Hills Wednesday.

  A Huntley man found holding a hammer outside a Lake in the Hills home and charged with criminal trespass now faces a felony attempted burglary charge in Huntley, police said. Daniel W. Bockenhauer, 19, of 11606 Lori Lane, is charged with attempted residential burglary, a Class 2 felony, criminal trespass to property, a Class 4 felony and criminal damage to property,  Class A misdemeanor, according to a Huntley police press release. According to police, Bockenhauer allegedly broke the basement window of a home in the 11500 block of Frederick Way in Huntley attempting to steal a computer on Sept. 8.
