Home Burglary Reported on Pyott Road

Lake in the Hills Police Department reports from Wednesday.

Violation of Protection Order Police received a call from a complainant in the 300 block of Wander Way around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday.  The complainant told police that an ex-boyfriend had violated an order of protection. Police found the report to be unfounded, according to the Lake in the Hills Police Department's daily bulletin. Burglary on Pyott Road Police responded to a home on the 300 block of Pyott Road around 7:52 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a burglary. According to the daily bulletin, $100 was taken from the home. The burglary report was turned over the Lake in the Hills Police Department’s investigations unit.

3 Crashes Involving 7 Vehicles on Randall Road

The Lake in the Hills Police Department reports from Monday and Tuesday.

Drunken Driving Arrest A 26-year-old Crystal Lake man was pulled over in the area of Crystal Lake Road and Hilltop Drive around 3:36 a.m. Monday and arrested on drunken driving charges. The man was also cited for disregarding a stop sign and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was later released on bond. Crashes on Randall Road Monday Three separate crashes occurred at intersections on Randall Road on Monday. Property was damaged in all of the crashes and no one was reportedly injured in these accidents: Criminal Damage to Property An unknown offender damaged a vehicle parked in the area of Algonquin Road and Annandale Drive. The Lake in the Hills Police Department reports from the weekend: Ambulance Called For Infant An ambulance was called to the first block of Shadow Creek Court around 1:50 a.m. Friday for a report of a three-month-old boy having difficulty breathing. The boy was taken to Sherman Hospital, according to Lake in the Hills Police Department’s daily bulletin. Hit and Run Under Investigation Police are investigating a hit and run accident that occurred at the intersection of Randall and Miller roads around 2:55 p.m. Friday, according to the daily bulletin. Lake in the Hills Police Department reports from Tuesday and Wednesday: Theft at Bank of America Police are investigating a report of a theft at Bank of America, 2450 W. Algonquin Road. The report was made around 1:48 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Lake in the Hills Police Department’s daily bulletin. Hit and Run Reported at Ace Hardware A vehicle left the scene after reportedly hitting another vehicle at Ace Hardware, 481 Acorn Lane, around 3:06 p.m. Tuesday. The hit and run is under investigation. Snow Blower Stolen From LITH Porch

The theft remains under investigation with the Lake in the Hills Police Department.

  One LITH resident was without his snow blower during the blizzard after it was stolen from his porch. Lake in the Hills police responded to a home in the 100 block of Wander Way for the reported theft that occurred sometime between 9:30 p.m. Monday and 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, said Sgt. Eric Decker of the Lake in the Hills Police Department. “The snow blower was removed from the porch and has yet to be returned,” Decker said.  “He doesn’t remember loaning it out.” The theft remains under investigation with the Lake in the Hills Police Department.

The Lake in the Hills Police Department responded to the following reports from Wednesday and Thursday: Drunken Driving Arrest A 28-year-old Lake in the Hills man was pulled over at Jewel-Osco, 103 S. Randall Road, around 2:53 a.m. Thursday, according to the Lake in the Hills Police Department’s daily bulletin. The man was arrested on a drunken driving charge and also cited for improper lane usage. He was later released on bond. Lake in the Hills Police Department responded to the following complaints from Wednesday: Teens Arrested on Drug Charges Police were called to Marlowe Middle School, 9625 Haligus Road, for a drug report around 1:42 p.m. Wednesday. There they arrested a 13-year-old Huntley boy for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and a 14-year-old Lake in the Hills boy for unlawful possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Drunken Driving Arrest A 21-year-old Sycamore man was pulled over in the area of Route 47 and Algonquin Road around 1:24 a.m. Thursday, according to the Lake in the Hills Police Department's daily bulletin. He was arrested on drunken driving charges and also cited for speeding. He was later released on bond.
