LITH Blotter: DUI, Leaving Scene of Accident Arrests; Three Injured in Four-Vehicle Crash

The Lake in the Hills Police blotter contain basic information on incident and arrest reports provided to Patch.com by the Lake in the Hills Police Department.  An arrest does not indicate a conviction. 7:46 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Anthony E. Campbell, 45, in the 1000 block of Brittany Bend Street in LITH on two counts of domestic battery. Campbell, of 1070 Brittany Bend in LITH, was transported to McHenry County Jail.  10:12 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Austin R. Larson, 22, at Algonquin and Frank roads in LITH for criminal damage to vehicle and attempted obstructing justice by furnishing false information. Blotter: Teen Injured in Bike Crash; Assault Arrest at Marlowe

Arrests, accidents and police calls from the past weekend in Lake in the Hills.

Driving Under the Influence Police pulled over a 34-year-old Crystal Lake man around 3:59 a.m. Friday near the intersection of Pingree and Duffy Roads. The man, whose name is being withheld since charges have not yet been entered on the online court access website, was arrested for driving under the influence and for speeding in a construction zone. He was later released on bond. Driving While License Revoked A 37-year-old Lake in the Hills man was arrested around 10:17 a.m. Friday at Jewel, 103 S. Randall Road, for driving while license revoked and expired registration. Lake in the Hills Police Department reports for Monday.

Huntley Man Arrested for Stealing Vehicle Lake in the Hills police arrested an 18-year-old Huntley man over the weekend for unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle and criminal damage to property. Matthew S. Zeis was charged Monday in conjunction with the arrest in McHenry County Court. He is charged with receiving/possessing/selling a stolen vehicle, knowingly damaging property under $300 and theft, according to online court records. He was arrested on Saturday around 11:37 p.m. in the 5500 block of Alexandria Drive. He is next expected in court on Thursday. Domestic Reported on Clark Avenue Police were called to the 10 block of Clark Avenue around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a juvenile male that was  hit in the head by a calculator. The incident is under investigation. Hit and Run on Grant Avenue Police were called to the first block of Grant Avenue for a report of damage to a garage door around 9:42 a.m. Wednesday.  LITH Man Arrested For Stealing Computer A 23-year-old Lake in the Hills faces a theft charge for reportedly stealing a computer Thursday. Blotter: Vehicle Collides With Car Wash Equipment

The Lake in the Hills Police Department reports for Monday and Tuesday.

Car Crash at Car Wash A car hit an "automatic wash bay" at the Superwash, 2200 Algonquin Road, around 12:22 p.m. Monday. No one was injured though property was damaged in the accident. Police did take a report on the incident for insurance purposes. Violation of Order of Protection A 38-year-old Algonquin woman was taken into custody Monday afternoon for violating an order of protection. She was arrested at the Lake in the Hills Police Department around 2:51 p.m. Monday and taken to the McHenry County Jail. Three Driving While Suspended Arrests Sunday Domestic Battery Charges A 48-year-old man, on the 10 block of Woodland Rd., was charged with two counts of domestic battery, at 8:01 p.m., Friday. He was transported to McHenry County Jail. Criminal Damage to Vehicle Police arrested a 44-year-old Crystal Lake man around 9:45 a.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of Starwood Pass for criminal damage to a vehicle. The man faces charges for the incident and was later released on bond.  Violation of Bail Bond Police arrested a 45-year-old Lake in the Hills man on the 5300 block of Briarfield Lane for violation of bail bond at 9:58 p.m., Thursday. LITH Teen Arrested on Child Porn Charges

Lake in the Hills Police Department crime reports for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

An 18-year-old LITH man was taken into custody Thursday morning on child pornography charges. The arrest came following a joint investigation by the Lake in the Hills Police Department, Huntley Police Department and the Illinois Attorney General's office, according to a LITH Police Department press release. A search warrant was executed of a home on Rochelle Court where the press release states evidence was found to support charges against the teen.  The press release also states that the teen allegedly did not know the children depicted in the photos. Teen Arrested for Driving 40 MPH Over Speed Limit

Lake in the Hills Police also arrested three teens on drug charges over the past several days and are investigating a residential burglary.

Teens Arrested on Drug Charges            Two area teens were arrested at Taco Bell, 231 N. Randall Road, Wednesday on drug charges, according to the Lake in the Hills Police Department’s daily bulletin. A 17-year-old Gilberts boy and a 17-year-old Huntley boy both face charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana – less than 2.5 grams and a local charge of possession of tobacco by a minor. Police arrested the teens around 5:53 p.m. Thursday and later released them to their parents. Snowmobile Stolen; Businesses Receive Ordinance Violations

Theft of Snowmobile A snowmobile was reportedly stolen in the 9110 block of Pyott Road. The theft was reported at 9:33 a.m. Monday to Lake in the Hills Police, according to the police department’s daily bulletin. Man Arrest for Protection Order Violation A 56-year-old Lake in the Hills man was taken into custody at the Lake in the Hills Police Department, 1115 Crystal Lake Road, early Wednesday morning. The man is accused of violating a protection order and was taken to the McHenry County Jail. Hit and Run and Chen’s A delayed hit and run was reported at Chen’s Cuisine, 270 N. Multiple Vehicle Break-Ins, Burglaries in LITH

Many of the reports are under investigation with the Lake in the Hills Police Department.

Police responded to several reports of vehicle break-ins that apparently occurred overnight Saturday in Lake in the Hills. In total, nine different reports were taken of vehicle break-ins and burglaries, according to the Lake in the Hills Police Department’s daily bulletin (see the attached PDF to the right of this story). Anyone with tips on crimes committed in Lake in the Hills can call the police department's non-emergency number at (847) 658-5676 or submit a tip online. For emergency situations, call 9-1-1.
