Local dietician Sylvia Pomazak provides tips to stay healthy this holiday season.

Whether we bring cookies to the office, treat our friends to a night of drinks and appetizers, or bake our favorite side dish to bring to a family get-together, food plays a pivotal role in the celebration of the holiday season. Food is a celebration in and of itself, and no party is at its full potential without an appealing and assorted spread. And as we enjoy the good cheer of the holidays, we may get a little carried away and lose track of how much food we've eaten. We avoid the scale and resort to those trusty "holiday pants."
