Bubs Subs Adds Location; Luke's Reopens; Dante's to Leave Algonquin

Two popular lunch spots will be coming to the east side, while one popular spot will be closing

The lunch scene in Algonquin will be getting some news players over the next few months and losing one popular spot. Bubs Subs, which has become a popular family-owned sandwich shop on the west side of Algonquin, will be adding a second location on the east side of the community. It will open Jan. 4 next to Starbucks at 1534 E. Algonquin Road in Algonquin. The popular eatery, which is filled with hungry diners from lunch time through dinner time, will fill a spot formerly held by Quiznos, just as it did when Bubs opened its first spot on the west side of Algonquin at 260 S. Things aren't final yet and there is a very strong possibility that Dante's will be staying at it's current location. We never wanted to leave Algonquin and hope that we can work out the final details by December that would allow us to stay. Independent Sub Shop to Open in Randall's Corridor of Chains

Bubs Subs, located at 260 S. Randall Road, will open early this month.

Starting this month, a new Algonquin sub shop will join a select few independently owned businesses along the Randall Road corridor. Bubs Subs, 260 S. Randall Road, will join four other tenants in Stonegate Commons retail strip center. Owner Dominick Pulli, a self-described “sub connoisseur” said he can’t wait. “I’ve been wanting to get into the sub business for quite a few years now,” he said. “We’ve sank every single spare penny into this place to get it open. We’ve got that much faith, because we know the area’s right and the food’s going to be top of the line.” The restaurant will feature fresh sandwich bread baked at the shop daily, Italian beef and premium deli meats, as well as homemade sauces, dressings, and salads.
