If your family is looking for an extra special way to spend time with Santa this year, consider the District 158 Education Foundation’s annual Santa’s Fireside Feast and Breakfast with Santa events. Santa’s Fireside Feast will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 at Marlowe Middle School, 9625 Haligus Road, Lake in the Hills. Families are invited to join Santa and Mrs. Claus for a delicious dinner. Two pasta buffet bars will be set up featuring pasta, a variety of sauces, and more. A green garden salad, breadsticks, beverages and Mrs. Claus’ special dessert cookies will be served tableside. Both events, held at Marlowe Middle School in Lake in the Hills, helped raise thousands of dollars for the foundation. At the events, children were able to visit with Santa and enjoy fun holiday activities with their families. They also got the chance to see some of their favorite teachers and school district administrators, who served up food to the families at the event. The fireside feast will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 2 and breakfast with Santa will be held on Dec. 3 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and 10 to 11:30 a.m.
The District 158 Education Foundation’s popular Breakfast with Santa is back again this year, with even more fun to offer. This year, the foundation is adding more festive fun to its annual fundraiser by also hosting a new event on the night before the breakfast. From 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, the foundation is hosting Santa’s Fireside Feast at Marlowe Middle School. The foundation wanted to add a new event this year, in hopes of reaching out to even more community members.
