McHenry County Sheriff Seizes $34,000 Worth of Marijuana

Sheriff's office announced the arrest on Wednesday of three Lake County men stemming from a pot bust operation at the corner of Route 120 and Chapel Hill Road in McHenry.

  McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren announced Thursday, Oct. 18, the arrest of three Lake County residents for multiple drug charges. The sheriff's Intelligence Led Policing Unit and Narcotics Unit conducted a surveillance near Chapel Hill and Route 120 near McHenry on Oct. 16, after receiving a tip of a potential narcotics transaction, Nygren said in a press release. During the investigation, officers saw two vehicles meet up and observed one of car's occupants carrying a bag with marijuana in it, Nygren said. All parties were arrested without incident. Deputies recovered about nine pounds of marijuana (4,510 grams) from one of the vehicles, police said. Deputies also recovered drug paraphernalia and seized a 2006 Infiniti, Nygren said…

@dan... I know... I was hit in the left eye with a rock when I was 9 years old...at times, the pain is blinding... Marijuana has saved my life...I am now 66 years old.. I smoke about once a week...
