Weekender: Holiday Craft Sale, Pole Dancing Showcase

T.G.I.F. and Welcome to November, Algonquin and Lake in the Hills!

If you've recovered from Halloween, yet, there are plenty of fun events happening in the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills area.

For starters, the Jacobs High School Performing Arts Booster Club is holding its first-ever Holiday Craft Fair at Jacobs High School, 2601 Bunker Hill Dr., Algonquin. You can get a jump-start on your holiday shopping, or buy something for yourself - all while helping the boosters! Click here for more information about the Holiday Craft Fair. 

Interested in trying a new sport? Check out the growing sport of pole dancing this weekend at the 1st Annual Northern Illinois Pole Fitness Convention, set for Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 2 and 3, at D'Andrea Banquets in Crystal Lake. 

People 18 years and older are invited attend. This is a sport, not to be confused with pole dancing occupations. Workshops available. Click here to learn more about the convention, purchasing tickets and registering for workshops.
