Positive Male Role Model Sought For Crystal Lake Boy

Patch has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry County to publish the profiles of area boys in need of mentors.

As part of an effort to get the word out about Big Brothers, Big Sisters of McHenry County's need for male mentors, Patch will publish a different profile daily of young boys in need of a "Big Brother." Here is today's profile:

Zach is 7 years old and has been waiting for a Big Brother in the Crystal Lake area for six months.

He lives with his mom and two younger active brothers who demand a lot of her time. Zach’s mom is looking for a positive male role model he can look up to and learn from, because his father has never been in his life.

Zach would like to go out to eat with a Big Brother, play four square, and play basketball.

His mom describes him as friendly, charming, but lacking friendship skills and friends.

Can you help mentor Zach? One hour a week is all it takes to be a role model for a child. Please call Big Brothers Big Sisters at 815-385-3855 or visit www.bbbsmchenry.org to learn more about volunteering.
