Hearts of Gold in Need of Hats, Gloves

A local organization that provides food, Christmas gifts and other necessities to families in need is looking for the public's help.

Hearts of Gold is looking for last-minute donations of winter hats and gloves for children by this Friday, Dec. 9.

In an e-mail from Hearts of Gold organizer Petra Schmid she wrote the organization had not received the hats and gloves they usually hand out "due to an unforunate misunderstanding."

Hearts of Gold is working this week to organize gifts donated for Lake in the Hills and Algonquin families in need, food that wil be handed out in baskets and the hats and gloves. The gifts and baskets will then be delivered to the families.
