Get a Team Together and Bowl for Kids' Sake

The Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry County will host its annual "Bowl for Kids' Sake!" event at the Brunswick Zone of Algonquin on February 27.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry County will host its annual “Bowl for Kids’ Sake!” event at the .

The fundraiser will be held on Sunday, February 27 at the Brunswick Zone’s eastside location, 2075 E. Algonquin Road.

Teams of 4-6 people must register by February 23 and each player should raise $75 in donations. That cost includes bowling for two hours, shoe rental, pizza and a t-shirt.

Robyn Ostrem, the executive director for McHenry County Big Brothers Big Sisters said the Bowl for Kids’ Sake event typically raises $75,000.

There are still two time slots available for teams to bowl at 11 a.m. or 3 p.m.; the 1 p.m. slot is already full, Ostrem said.

Proceeds benefit the McHenry County Big Brothers Big Sisters organization and kids in the surrounding area.
