LITH Woman Named Miss McHenry County 2013

Savannah Kleiner, an 18-year-old Lake in the Hills resident, was named Miss McHenry County 2013 Wednesday night after competing against 12 other young women at the McHenry County Fair, according to the Northwest Herald. 

Kleiner, a Huntley High School graduate, told the Northwest Herald she competed in her first pageant — the Miss Lake in the Hills pageant, which she won — as a way to hone her public speaking skills.

Kleiner won a $2,000 scholarship and will to onto compete this January in the Miss Illinois County Fair Contest in Springfield, according to the article. 

Jessica Thuma of Woodstock was named first runner up in the Miss McHenry County pageant, Arlinda Fasilu of Woodstock was second runner up and Brooke Romero of Lake in the Hills was third runner up, according to the McHenry County Fair Facebook page. 

Olivia Wigman of McHenry won the Miss Photogenic contest while Tobi Jo Gustafson of Harvard was named Miss Congeniality, according to the McHenry County Fair Facebook page.
