Lakeside Festival in Crystal Lake Starts Wednesday

Annual festival offers food and entertainment on a scenic, historic setting by the lake.

The 2013 Lakeside Festival in Crystal Lake opens Wednesday, July 3, on the grounds of the historic Dole Mansion and Lakeside Legacy Arts Park.

The festival runs through Sunday, July 7, at the Dole Mansion, which provides a scenic view of the lake and is located at 401 Country Club Road. This year's festival is packed with a variety of live entertainment, special events, carnival rides and, of course, food!

The annual 4th of July Parade is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday, July 7, and the fireworks show will top off the festivities that night at Main Beach, 300 Lake Shore Dr., in Crystal Lake.
