Chowdown Showdown Ice Cream Challenge

Summer is so close we can almost taste it. 

And what tastes more like summer than a delicious scoop (or two or three) of ice cream or frozen custard? 

For this week's Chowdown Showdown, we are looking to area Patch readers to tell us, which area  business serves up the best ice cream or frozen custard in McHenry County.

We will select the top finalists — the business with the most comments — and place them in our finalists' poll. That poll will post on all McHenry County Patch sites the morning of Wednesday, May 30.
