Summer Sunset Parade: Donate Items to Food Pantry
Algonquin/ Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry volunteers will push shopping carts along the parade route to collect donations.
The Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry will serve as the honorary Grand Marshal for this year's Summer Sunset Festival Parade.
The parade starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31. The parade route begins at Grafton Farm Road, travel along Miller Road, and end at Albrecht Road (near the playground entrance to Sunset Park).
Food pantry volunteers will walk the route pushing shopping carts to collect any food items donated by parade spectators. Suggested items are: canned foods, boxed items, beverages, or personal care items.
