Evan Jager Makes Running Times Cover

The magazine is expected to hit stands on June 15.

Algonquin's Evan Jager — who competed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the London Olympics last summer — has made the cover of the July 2013 Running Times issue.

Expected to hit newsstands on June 15, the magazine will run a feature on the Jacobs High School graduate with a photo of the 24-year-old gracing the front cover.

"With his flowing locks, long legs and bouncy style, Evan Jager stands out on the track. But his times truly make him emerge from the pack," according to a synopsis of the article, which is posted on the Running Times website. "After moving from the 5,000m to the 3,000m steeplechase in 2012, he won the Olympic Trials in his 4th attempt at the new event, and broke the American record by 2 seconds in his 5th try."
