Hennessy: I played all the other sports when I was younger and I realized all I liked about them was the running. Then I found out there was a sport just about running. I always wanted to do track, but my friends got me to do cross-country, too.

S.G.: What do you enjoy most about running?

Hennessy: The competitive side of the running. There aren't any frills or anything. It's just who can run faster. It's a lot more competitive than people think.

S.G.: What races do you run?

Hennessy: The 800, the 4x400 relay, the 1600 and the 4x800 relay. I usually end up doing 3 of those 4.

S.G.: What's been your favorite meet this season?

Hennessy: The Naperviller North Invite last Friday. That's the best meet I ever had. I got the MVP of that meet. It was a good meet for everyone on the team.

S.G.: What difficult meets do you have this season?

Hennessy: It's a three-way tie between conference, sectionals and state. At those three meets we're really going up against the best.

S.G.: What is your proudest accomplishment in track?

Hennessy: A tie between the MVP award and qualifying for state as a sophomore.

S.G.: Do you plan on running competitively in college?

Hennessy: Yes

S.G.: Do you have a school in mind?

Hennessy: Marquette University in Wisconsin
