Area Boys Basketball Teams Ready for Regionals

The start of regional play begins this week.

Several area boys' basketball teams are gearing up for regional play for this next week. The Illinois High School Association announced the following pairings for regionals:

Class 4A:

Number three seed will take on McHenry during the third game of the Prairie Ridge Regional. The Gators and Warriors face off at 8:10 pm on Wednesday, March 2.

Number two seed H.D. Jacobs will take on number three seed Dundee-Crown High School during the third game of the (Elgin) Larkin Regional. The teams face off on Wednesday, March 2 at 7:30 p.m.

Number one seed Huntley High School will take on the winner of game one during the second game of the Prairie Ridge Regional. Those teams will face off at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2.

(Elgin) Larkin Regional

Monday, Feb. 28: Game 1 at 7:30 pm, number four seed Streamwood vs. number five seed Elgin (Larkin)

Tuesday, March 1: Game 2 at 7:30 pm, number one seed Elgin (H.S.) versus winner of game 1

Wednesday, March 2: Game 3 at 7:30 pm, number 2 seed H.D. Jacobs versus number 3 seed Carpentersville (Dundee-Crown)

Friday, March 4: Game 4 at 7:30 pm, winner of game 2 versus winner of game 3

Prairie Ridge Regional

Monday, Feb. 28: Game 1 at 7:30 p.m., number four seed Cary-Grove versus number five seed Prairie Ridge.

Wednesday, March 2: Game 2 at 6 p.m., number one seed Huntley versus the winner of game one. Game 3 at 8:10 p.m. number two seed McHenry versus number three seed Crystal Lake South.

Friday, March 4: Game 4 at 7:30 p.m., winner of game two versus the winner of game three.
