Algonquin, LITH Runners Compete in Chicago Marathon

In total, over 37,000 participated in Sunday's Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Of those, 145 were from Algonquin and Lake in the Hills.

Runner Bill Jensen was the top finisher among Algonquin and Lake in the Hills residents participating in Sunday's Bank of America Chicago Marathon, according to the official marathon website.

Of the 37,000 runners who competed in the 26.2-mile race, 145 were from Algonquin and LITH. 

Jensen finished in 860th place overall with a time of 2:59.46. 

Tsegaye Kebede of Ethiopia finished first overall among the men, and the top overall finisher among the women was Atsede Baysa of Ehtiopia. The Chicago Tribune has a full article on Sunday's marathon.
