The Northwest Herald reports on what parents are paying to send their kids to area schools.

The Northwest Herald surveyed area schools to find out how much parents are paying in registration and other fees.

According to the NW Herald report, here is what some Lake in the Hills parents are paying to send their kids to area schools

  • Lake in the Hills Elementary School, District 300 – $100 (kindergarten), $115 (grades 1-5)
  • • Heineman Middle School, District 158 – $218
  • • Jacobs High School, District 300 – $135 (registration) + $150 (sport) = $285
  • • Huntley High School, District 158 – $228 (registration) + $75 (sport) = $303
