Take a Walk in Her Shoes Ball Friday at Boulder Ridge Country Club
A portion of the proceeds raised through the event will help support McHenry County College's Women in Transition scholarship program.
The "Take a Walk in Her Shoes Ball" will be held from 7 to 11:30 p.m. Friday at the Boulder Ridge Country Club, 350 Boulder Drive in Lake in the Hills.

In 2011, 37 nursing students at MCC received scholarship support from the "Take a Walk in Her Shoes Ball" fund-raiser, according to the Friends of MCC Foundation event website.
A Strut Your Stuff competition will be held at the event where registrants can "strut, stroll or stride" down a stage in shoes of their choice. The contestants will be judged under the following categories: sinful stiletto, playful pump, bombshell bootie, scintillating sandal and funky footwear.

The cost is $20 to register to take part in the competition and the first 100 contestants will be accepted on a first come first registered basis, according to the event's website. Online registration is available online.
Hors d' oeuvres will be served and a silent auction will be held. A full schedule of events for the night is available on the Friends of MCC Foundation website.

Individual seats at the event are available for $75 while a table of 10 can be reserved for $750. Visit the event website to register online.
