Register Your Child for Huntley High School’s Sleeping Beauty and the Z’s Summer Theatre Camp

If performing in front of a live audience sounds like something your kids would enjoy, sign them up for Huntley High School's Sleeping Beauty and the Z's Summer Theatre Camp today!

Just when you thought the story would end with the typical “happily ever after” for the Sleeping Beauty Princess Tara, the wicked fairy, Xenia enters and threatens to place a curse on everyone in the castle. Determined that no one ever wake Princess Tara, Xenia’s curse would cause everyone to sleep for a hundred years.

Complete with a cast of seven good fairies known as the Z’s, a horrible ogre, several terrible trolls, a two-headed spider, Prince Egbert and Prince Smedley, and more, this theater production promises to be fun for all participants.

The Theatre Camp is open to all students completing grades five through twelve.
Camp will be held in the Performing Arts Center at Huntley High School from June 20 to July 16 and will include four play performances in front of a live audience.

The camp fee cost is $175 and includes five free ticket vouchers that can be used for any show, a speaking role in a great show, weekly individual instruction, a show shirt with your name, and a chance to perform for family and friends!

Show dates and times: 

  • Thursday, July 14 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday, July 15 – 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 16 – 7:30 p.m.

Registration forms for Huntley High School’s Sleeping Beauty and the Z’s Summer Theatre Camp are available on the District 158 website in the forms section of the parents and students tab at www.district158.org/forms.  Registrations due by June 13.  This camp will accommodate up to sixty students and spaces fill up fast, so be sure to send in your registration form today!
