Rachel's Challenge Anti-Bullying Presentation at Heineman Tonight

The anti-bullying presentation is meant to inspire young people to replace acts of violence with acts of respect and kindness.

Heineman Middle School will host a Rachel’s Challenge Community Event on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the school gym located at 725 Academic Drive in Algonquin.

Families from the entire District 158 community are invited to attend the free presentation, however some images and topics may not be suitable for very young children.

Rachel’s Challenge exists to equip and inspire young individuals to replace acts of violence, bullying,and negativity with acts of respect, kindness, and compassion. Rachel’s Challenge is based on the life and writings of Rachel Joy Scott who was the first victim of the Columbine school shootings in1999.

Through her example, Rachel’s Challenge is making a positive impact in the lives of millions of people every year.

Schools use Rachel’s Challenge as a response to escalating problems such as: bullying, student isolation, teen suicide, discrimination, school violence, and increased disciplinary actions.
