St. Baldrick’s is proof that one person, one dollar can make a difference in the fight against childhood cancer. What began as a challenge between friends in March of 2000, has grown into the world's fastest growing volunteer-driven fundraising opportunity benefiting childhood cancer research. The first St. Baldrick’s event took place at Jim Brady’s bar and restaurant in New York City.

Anyone interested in volunteering at the event or participate as a “shavee” may sign up in the MCC cafeteria from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 5-9. The college is located at 8900 U.S. Hwy. 14 in Crystal Lake.
