Lugo's scripts include a mixture of acting and interpretation of all genres — drama, stories and poetry — by solo and duo performers, according to the news release.

Highlights will include Lugo’s solo performance “No Laughing Matter.” This national award-winning story is about a female stand-up comic who was raped and her attempts to cope with the trauma through humor, according to the press release.

Also included are performances of “Little Toy Guns,” an exploration of the aftermath of a school shooting, and “Switch,” in which a husband and wife wake up as themselves in each other’s bodies, according to the press release.

Lugo is an alumni of McHenry County College.
