Gingrich's Wife to Visit Lake in the Hills Daycare Next Week

Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich will make several campaign stops in the area next week.

The wife of  will make a stop at a Lake in the Hills daycare Thursday as part of Gingrich's campaign tour.

Callista Gingrich is slated to visit , from 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday to read to students, according to a tentative schedule provided by the Newt Gingrich campaign.

Gingrich and his wife will also make appearances in Rosemont, Barrington, Palatine, Elgin and Carpentersville.

Wednesday, March 14

  • Gingrich will hold a rally at 3 p.m. at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont.

  • A reception will be held at 5 p.m. with Gingrich and his wife at the in Barrington. A fund-raising event will immediately follow. There is a $500 per person minimum contribution.  Those interested in attending can contact Ashley Fischer at afischer@newt.org or (615) 642-0702.

  • A Northwest Suburban Republican 2012 Lincoln Day Dinner will be held at The Cotillion, 360 South Creekside Drive, Palatine. The reception will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. Limited seating is available and tickets are $100 per person. A platinum sponsor can book a table for 10 for $1,500 while a silver sponsor can book a table for 10 for $1,000.   • Judson University will host a public town hall meeting featuring Newt Gingrich at Herrick Chapel, 1151 N. State St., Elgin at 10 a.m. This event is free and open to the public.
