'Festival of Music' Concert Tonight; Benefits Huntley High School Band Program

The 6th Annual concert Tuesday night features Huntley High School Band and Sun City Concert Band at the Performing Arts Center at the school.

 

Huntley High School band director Nick Konwerski and Sun City Concert Band director Donna Bressler are pleased to announce the “Festival of Music” concert.

The concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, in the 13719 Harmony Road, Huntley.

This 6th annual concert will feature a variety of new musical selections not previously performed by the combined bands.

The event is free, but donations will be gratefully accepted at the door to benefit the Huntley High School band program.

Donations from last year’s event totaled $1,079 to which the Sun City Band added another $1,000 for a grand total of $2,079.

Scholarships in the amount of $500 each were then presented to three members of the Huntley High School band program: Zoe Detlaf, Pierce Cordle, and Charlotte Skala.

Scholarship winners for 2013 will be announced at tonight's “Festival of Music” concert.

The public is invited to attend this wonderful evening of musical entertainment.
