Parenting Classes will use techniques from different resources, i.e., Systematic Training for Effective Parenting STEP and Barna (a leading resource in parenting research) and other experts will be drawn on to form a comprehensive, modern parenting education experience.   This parenting class focuses on how to teach discipline and values that matter in a value-less society.  Class will be led by Brian and Sally Cope.  Topics covered:

                    Rules and Consequences

                    Family Meetings

                    Teaching Values

                    Choosing your discipline approach

                    Family Celebrations and making time for fun.

                    We will cover parenting problems from potty training to dating rules.                   

Classes will be held on Tuesdays, for 8 weeks, beginning March 1st at 7:00pm.  (We will take the week of D300’s Spring break off)  Childcare will be available, but limited; please register ASAP.  The cost of the class is $40.00 per family.  Some scholarships may be available; please see Rev. Cope for more information.  Register by calling the church office 847-658-5308 or sign-up on the bulletin board in Fellowship Hall in the church, so we can prepare for needed childcare.
