Bioneers at McHenry County College Conference

The keynote speaker for this conference is Jim Braun, coordinator of the Illinois Local Food, Farms and Jobs Council. He will talk about "Food - How It's All Connected". Other topics to be covered at the conference include Healthy Food and Schools, Greening of the Faith Community and Becoming a Four Season Locavore.

Additional speakers will participate via DVD as follows: 10:15am - 11:15am: Gary Hirshberg, CEO of Stonyfield Yogurt Company; 2:30pm - 3:15pm: Andy Lipkis, Founder of TreePeople; 4:00pm - 4:45pm: John Warner, PhD, co-founder of the Warner Babcock Institute for Green Chemistry and author of over 100 patents.

The fee includes lunch which will feature local organic food prepared by McHenry County College Culinary Management Program students along with Chef Zak Dolezal from Duke's Alehouse & Kitchen in Crystal Lake.
