Dine at Buffalo Wild Wings Thursday; Help Support Conley Elementary Teacher with Breast Cancer

Today's Letter to the Editor from a local resident encourages residents to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings in Algonquin Thursday to help raise funds for Jill Adams.

Dear Editor:

Jill Adams is an art teacher at Conley Elementary School in Algonquin.  Last summer, Jill was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. The friends and family of Ms. Adams are asking for the community's support this Thursday, May 3, when they will be hosting and all day fundraiser at Buffalo Wild Wings on Randall Road.

15% of all proceeds that day (dine in and carry out) will go to help with some of Ms. Adam's medical expenses.

Jill is and always has been a loving, caring, giving person. She has touched the lives of every student that has gone through Conley Elementary.  Her love and compassion for her students goes above and beyond anyone's expectations.

Jill is a teacher that takes it to the next level, giving 110% at all times.  She is not only supportive in school, but out of school as well.  Before she became ill, she never missed a PTA or school event.  She was one of the first teachers to sign up to help out and she attended events from start to finish.  Jill has also been known to stop by sporting events in the community to see her students do their thing.

Through all the years Jill has given back to the community and her students, she has never asked for anything to return.  I think it would be great if we can pull together as a community and show Ms. Adams how much she is loved.

Please dine at Buffalo Wild Wings on Thursday.  It would mean a lot to all the people that truly love Jill Adams.  You must bring a flyer in order for Jill to get a percentage of your meal.

Flyers have been sent home through most of the district 158 schools and will be posted in the local Patch newspapers.

Note: The PDF flyer in this article can be printed out and brought to Buffalo Wild Wings in Algonquin on Thursday, May 3 for Jill Adams to receive 15 percent of the proceeds from that meal.
