College Students from Algonquin, LITH Recognized for Academic Achievements

College students from Algonquin and Lake in the Hills have been recognized for the following academic achievements in recent months: 

Gianna L. Disarno of Lake in the Hills made the fall 2012 dean's list at Coastal Carolina University. She is pursuing a major in exercise and sport science. 

Kurt Scheffrahn of Algonquin made the fall 2012 Dean's List at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Stephanie Morgan of Lake in the Hills and Dylan Scully of Algonquin made the fall 2012 Dean's List at Beloit College. 

Amanda Podczerwinski of Algonquin was named to Siena College's Deans' List for the fall 2012 semester. Podczerwinski is a junior chemistry major at Siena.

Allison Sleeting of Algonquin was named to the fall 2012 Dean's List at Taylor University.

The following students made the fall 2012 Dean's List at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis.: Ushma Patel of Lake In The Hills, Amanda Larson of Algonquin, Brian Chase of Algonquin, Alexandra Davidson of Algonquin, Haley Loprieno of Algonquin, Lindsey Peterson of Algonquin, Anthony Virgilio of Algonquin.

The following local students graduated from Marquette University on Dec. 16: Ryan Dillon of Algonquin earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting; Janelle Smith of Lake in the Hills earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences; and Erika Spoden of Algonquin earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing.

Clara Johnson of Algonquin has been named to the fall 2012 Dean's List at St. Olaf College. Johnson is a pursuing a degree in social work. She is the daughter of James and Carolyn Johnson.

The following students were named to the Fall 2012 Dean's List at Drake University: Meagan Flynn of Algonquin, Drew Ormseth of Lake in the Hills, Elizabeth Olivera of Algonquin and Alexandra Hilgart of Lake in the Hills. 

The following students were named to the fall 2012 Dean's List at Lewis University: Ashley Patek of Algonquin, Jessica Tennant of Algonquin, Raymond Lewandowski III of Algonquin, David Tennant of Algonquin, Lauren Grady of Algonquin, Kathleen Nocchi of Algonquin, Crystal Serrano-Puebla of Lake in the Hills, Brandon Reese of Algonquin, Susan Thomas of Algonquin, Alyssa Fanella of Lake in the Hills, and Courtney Cuconato of Lake in the Hills. 

Collin Richman has been named to the fall 2012 Dean's List at Luther College. Richman is the son of Lynn and Scott Richman.

Lindsay Anderson of Lake in the Hills has been named to its Dean's List for fall 2012 at the University of Hartford. 

Danielle Moritz of Algonquin has been named to the Dean's List at William Woods University for academic accomplishments during the 2012 fall term.

Harjeet Kaur of Lake In The Hills and Laura Rosenwinkel were named to the Dean's List at Rockford College for the fall 2012 semester. 

Angela Miller of Algonquin has been named to the dean's list at Cornell College for the fall 2012 semester. 

The following local students were named to the fall 2012 Dean's List at Aurora University: Ololade Badmus of Algonquin, Jessica Grams of Algonquin, Stephanie Kordecki of Algonquin, Kelly Seklecki of Algonquin and Jade Strong of Lake in the Hills. 

Lauren Aggen of Algonquin made the dean's list for the fall 2012 quarter at Rochester Institute of Technology's Center for Multidisciplinary Studies. 

Cary Hansing of Algonquin helped Lewis University's mediation team bring back an eighth place in advocacy/client and 10th place in mediation at the national championship competition. Hansing won All-American honors in two categories: mediation and advocacy/client.
