Crystal Lake South Poms Squad Makes ABC 7 Dance Competition

The Gators Varsity poms squad is competing in ABC 7 Chicago's "This Morning's Dance Team Dance Off" contest this week.

Scores of students, teachers and parents arrived at Crystal Lake South High School by 4:45 a.m. Tuesday to cheer on members of the Gators varsity pom squad as they performed live on the ABC 7 Chicago News This Morning show.

The pom squads are participating in the morning news show’s Dance Team Dance Off competition.

ABC 7 selected three Chicagoland dance/pom squads for the contest. The other squads selected are Lake Park High School Lancettes, Maine South High School Hawkettes and Eisenhower High School Cardinals dance team

Viewers will select the winner by logging onto www.ABC7Chicago.com from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday to vote for their favorite team. ABC 7 will present the winning team a trophy on Friday.

The Gators varsity pom squad performed its competitive routine at 6:50 a.m. ABC 7 weather personality Tracy Butler broadcast the morning weather breaks from the school’s gymnasium.
