"This is a great group of students and they each worked very hard to prepare for their events," Dow said. "Our success at the University of Illinois state meet this past weekend is a direct result of their hard work, collaboration and dedication throughout the entire season. I can’t help but mention the support we received from the parents, too. It was a great combination for an excellent year!"

The Gators' team placed third in regionals last month in order to earn their spot in the state competition. At that event, the team also won the spirit award.
