School Spirit on Display at CL South Parade

Crystal Lake South High School's annual homecoming parade Friday afternoon kicked off the weekend festivities. Students were pumped up about Friday night's big varsity football game against Prairie Ridge.

ended the school day Friday with a homecoming pep assembly to get students pumped up about the football game versus undefeated cross-town rival .

As soon as the bell sounded at 2:50 p.m., students representing various athletic and academic clubs assembled at , at the corner of Ackman and Golf Course roads, where the parade began.

Students lined the parade route leading from , winding north along Golf Course Road, and finishing at .

Parade entries included the school marching band, color guard, cheerleaders, poms, varsity football team, and varsity and junior varsity hockey teams.

The French and Spanish clubs added a little pizzazz to the festivities, with French students riding on a decorated pontoon boat to go with this year's homecmoing theme: "Under the Sea."
