Hultgren to Host Homeschooling Meet-and-Greet at Johnsburg Library

U.S. Representative Randy Hultgren (IL-14) will host a meet and greet and present an update on the state of homeschooling on Monday, March 31 at Johnsburg Public Library’s Homeschool Resource Center from 6:30-8:00 p.m. The event is open to the public.

“As a father of two homeschooling boys, protecting this important educational option for families is close to my heart,” said Rep. Hultgren. “As homeschooling households continue to grow in number in Illinois and across the country, I invite everyone interested in homeschooling to talk about what issues and legislation affect the movement.

“I am especially grateful to Maria Zawacki and Kathy Wenz for their leadership at Johnsburg Library and the Homeschool Resource Center. Families travel from across the state to check out indispensable homeschooling materials from the Center. I am grateful to these two women for making space available and their commitment to advancing our children's education.”

In response to the ongoing German persecution and unequal treatment of homeschooling families like the Romeikes and the Wunderlichs, Rep. Hultgren has signed onto a letter with other Members of Congress requesting a meeting with the German ambassador regarding the country’s policy towards homeschoolers.
