What's the Matter with Illinois?

That's the question The Wall Street Journal is trying to answer.

What really is wrong with Illinois? The Wall Street Journal took a look at the Land of Lincoln compared with our neighbors in the Great Lakes region - specifically Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin - to see the economic progress, or lack thereof, Illinois has made in the past five years.

It's not a pretty picture The Wall Street Journal paints. While Illinois' unemployment rate has dropped marginally over the past five years, the unemployment rates in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin have dropped more substantially.

There are other areas where Illinois is lagging behind her Great Lakes brethren, but you don't know us to tell you about that when you can read about it yourself.

Easier said than done !!!! Free to leave this *&^%$#@! Corrupt state. Hell if it is, insane prop.tax makes it almost impossible to sell your home to flee.

Jay Jay, I applaud your insight. Corruption on the forefront, vigilante justice, overinflated property taxes, laws lobbied for by alcoholics persecuting smokers for all wrong doing. Welcome to Illinois folks. Re-evaluate the equity in your home versus the extortion you are paying to corrupt politicians. Short term loss is often worth the long term gain.

The melting pot has become a CESS POOL !!! Just what the Corruptacrooks wanted for votes.

This years election will be built on fabricated sex crimes. Matt O'Shea will lead the pack.......that is of course if it's not a Chicago cop at the helm.
