Packets Available for Spring Elections in Algonquin, LITH

Several seats will be up for election on the village board of trustees in Algonquin and Lake in the Hills.

Election packets are now available for pick up for village board positions in the spring election in Algonquin and Lake in the Hills

The village president seats will both be up for election in the April 9 races in each of the villages. Ed Plaza is currently the village president in LITH and John Schmitt is the village president in Algonquin.

In addition, three board of trustee positions in each of the villages will also open up come spring.

In Lake in the Hills, the seats up for election are currently held by Stephen Harlfinger, Denise Barreto and Bob Huckins. In Algonquin, the seats up for election are held by Brian DianisJerry Glogowski and Robert Smith

Both village clerk positions are also up for election this spring. Denise Wassermanis currently the village clerk in Lake in the Hills and Jerry Kautz is the village clerk in Algonquin.

The village board seats are four-year terms. 

Packets are available for Lake in the Hills seats at LITH Village Hall, 600 Harvest Gate. For Algonquin seats, packets can be picked up at Algonquin Village Hall, 2200 Harnish Drive. 

The deadline for filing the packets is Dec. 24.
