Vehicle Causes $6,000 in Damage at Riverfront Park

Park benches and flower beds suffered extensive casualties.

A vehicle tore through over the weekend and caused thousands of dollars in damage.

Public Works Director Bob Mitchard reported at the Village Board meeting Tuesday that there was between $5,600 to $6,000 worth of damage to park benches and flowers.

"The damage in Riverfront Park stretched from the Port Ed parking lot all the way to the north end of the park and did excessive damage to site furnishings," Mitchard said in an email.
