Three Algonquin Businesses to Appear Before Liquor Commission

A public hearing will be held tonight at 7 p.m. at the Algonquin Village Hall, 5200 Harnish Drive.

Complaints against three Algonquin businesses will be heard by the village’s Liquor Control Commission tonight.

The businesses cited for liquor violations are:

  • Trader Joe’s, 800 South Randall Road
  • Algonquin Food and Liquor (Dajy, Inc.), 1117 South Main St.
  • The Riverview Restaurant (Battaglia’s Pizza), 1320 South Main St.

The liquor hearing will be held at 7 p.m. on Sept. 18 at Village Hall, 2200 Harnish Drive in Algonquin, according to village of Algonquin documents.

This is the second time Algonquin Food and Liquor has been cited for a liquor violation in recent months. The business appeared before the commission in June for its second liquor offense.

Meijer Gas Station, 490 South Randall Road, and Butera Market, 1400 E. Algonquin Road, also appeared before the liquor commission in June.

All businesses sold alcohol to minors during Algonquin Police Department compliance checks in May.
